Africa, N. Uganda, Kitgum District. Women--wives, mothers, sisters, girlfriends-- meet as part of group therapy at the Namokana Outreach Center in Kitgum to discuss their problems and concerns. A major topic of discussion is how to handle the domestic abuse and overuse of alcohol and drugs by their husbands and grown children due to PTSD and mental distress. Meeting with a counselor led group seems to have become a reliable source of help for many of them.
