There are about 5.5 million Dalit across the country, they are most neglected caste in their society. Kutti, Das, in her home in the slum. She has a little shop and works in fecal sludge management cleaning sewage and toliets for about $75 a month. Her husband is blind. The NGO, SNV, works to educate cleaners to have better hygiene when cleaning by washing hands, using rubber gloves and protection. Model released.
