With more than 6500 Tibetan Buddhist monasteries destroyed in Tibet after the 1959 Chinese invasion many of the monks and lamas have fled their homeland. New monasteries such as Dip-Tse-Chok-Ling Monastery in Dharamsala India have been rebuilt to house the exiled refugees and the new generation of enthusiastic young monks.
